Admissions
We welcome visitors of prospective children to the school to look around. Please contact the school office to arrange this admin@silfieldoak.org.uk.
We follow the Norfolk Admissions policy arrangements, please see below. Please note that all admissions applications are managed by Norfolk County Council. However we encourage families to contact the school first to see if there are any places:
Admissions Consultation 2028/29
We are consulting on our proposed admission arrangements for the 2028/29 academic year.
The proposed admission arrangements have been provided by the Trust and are available to view below.
Consultation Period
The consultation will be open for six school weeks:
Opens: 19 October
Closes: 11 December
We welcome the views of parents, carers and other interested parties on the proposed admission arrangements during this consultation period.
How to Respond
If you would like to comment on the proposed admission arrangements, please submit your response by 11 December.

Please clearly state that your response relates to the Admissions Consultation 2028/29.
All responses received during the consultation period will be considered before the admission arrangements are formally determined.

Reception class applications for September 2027 will open on 23 September 2026 and close on 15 January 2027.
Please note, late applications will have a lower priority for a school place than those applications that were received on time.
Late applications
If you cannot apply online, you can request a paper application form using our general enquiry form.
When children start school
Most children start school in the September after their fourth birthday.
You must apply for a reception class place even if your child currently goes to a nursery class at a school. Going to a nursery attached to a school does not increase your chances of getting a reception class place at that school.
If you want your child to start later, you still need to apply for a reception class place at the same time as everyone else.
