Silfield Oak Primary Academy

Section 10 Consultation

Unity Schools Partnership (USP) is delighted to launch its section 10 consultation on its plan to establish a new primary school for the community of Silfield, Wymondham, in Norfolk.

When Silfield Oak Primary Academy opens in September 2025, the school will provide education initially for four and five year olds in a Reception class and will grow to provide education across the primary age range 4-11. The school will also provide wraparound care.

Information about the new school, its vision and ethos, curriculum offer and admissions policy are available for review via this website.

As part of the process of opening a new school, USP is legally required to hold a consultation exercise (under Section 10 of the Academies Act 2010) to determine whether the Trust should enter into a Funding Agreement with the Department for Education.

This consultation will allow parents/carers and pupils, staff and governors from local schools, councillors, local residents and any other interested parties to learn more about the new school and USP and share their views.

A questionnaire has been prepared for all interested parties to complete. We encourage you to let us have your views on the proposed school.

The questionnaire can be submitted online via the link above, or a paper copy can be supplied for completion. Paper copies will be available at our public consultation event or can be downloaded from this email.

Public Meetings and Consultation

The consultation period will run from Monday 16th September 2024 until Friday 18th October 2024.

Public meetings will be held at 2pm and 6.30 pm on Monday 7th October 2024 at Wymondham Rugby Club, Reeve Way, Wymondham NR18 0GQ.

Please do come along to meet members of the Trust and the Headteacher, Emily McMillen, to hear our vision and share your views. If you cannot attend, you are welcome to email any representations or questions to admin@silfieldoak.org.uk

This is an important step in our journey towards opening in September 2025 and we are looking forward to listening to your views in order to provide you with the best school possible for the community.
